My Services
Financial Planning
Financial Planning is a collaborative process that helps maximize a Client’s potential for meeting life goals through Financial Advice that integrates relevant elements of the Client’s personal and financial circumstances.
Financial planning can be complicated and expensive. However, not everyone needs a complicated, expensive, 100+ page plan, but it doesn't mean people don't need financial planning help or have financial planning questions.
MpowerWM was established to provide straightforward financial planning services for everyone regardless of their tax bracket or portfolio size. Whether your situation is simple or complex, it doesn't have to be intimidating or overwhelming. I believe in providing concise information and concrete action plans that you can follow and implement. Financial planning engagements can be arranged à la carte, by the hour, or by retainer for a comprehensive plan.
To get started, we will create an Asset-Map for you to take inventory of what you have and to help you get organized. Then we will establish your goals. Once we know where you are on the map, we can create a game plan to help you achieve those goals.
A typical comprehensive financial plan will address most, if not all of these topics:
Estate planning
Tax planning
Budgeting
Roth IRA Conversions
Investment planning
Retirement planning
Education funding
Insurance planning
We will work together to prioritize and complete the tasks associated with your plan. Not everything needs to be completed at the same time. Some will be my responsibility and I will keep track and hold you accountable to ensure you are completing the tasks you are responsible for.
These topics will also be tackled throughout the year as part of on-going financial planning (please see my Financial Planning Calendar).

Investment Management (Includes Financial Planning)
Mpower's approach is straightforward: choose the proper asset allocation that matches your risk tolerance, diversify broadly and globally, minimize costs, and stay invested even when it feels uncomfortable. I believe in owning equities (stocks) for growth and bonds to control risk. My strategy entails intelligently and efficiently owning “the market”, staying invested, and not trying to outsmart and/or time the market. I am mindful of keeping investment fees reasonable and my own fees fair and competitive. I believe in “eating my own cooking” and invest my portfolio exactly the same way as my clients.

Mpower primarily utilizes index-like mutual funds and ETFs to intelligently and efficiently provide exposure to the global markets.
Mpower does not recommend individual stocks for client portfolios.
Mpower does not attempt to time the markets or chase returns.
These are the steps I will take when you engage Mpower for investment management:
I will review your existing portfolio
We will discuss your goals and time horizon
Together we will determine your risk tolerance
I will then determine an appropriate asset allocation that matches your goals, time horizon, and risk tolerance
I will create your personal investment policy statement
Then I will begin implementing your portfolio
Fee

Portfolio Review
If you are a "do it yourselfer" or are working with an adviser, consider utilizing Mpower's vast portfolio analysis experience to review your portfolio to determine its overall asset allocation, market cap, diversification, geographic and sector weightings, stock concentrations, credit quality, and expenses. Let's take an X-Ray of your portfolio to make sure it's constructed according to your expectations, consistent with your risk tolerance, and optimized to meet your objectives. It isn't prudent to make recommendations without knowing what's really going on inside.
Fee
$2,500 to $5,000
